Me and my collection: Art Lingren’s Passion for Fly Fishing.

Join us for an interesting presentation from fly fishing enthusiast, Art Lingren.

Art Lingren will share photographs and stories detailing his antique tackle collection, fly tying techniques and the lovely fishing spots in which he practices his craft. Lingren fly fishes in Alaska, Washington, Oregon and throughout his home province of British Columbia

Throughout most of his adult life, Art Lingren has been actively involved in the fishing community. Art is a member and past president of the Totem Fly Fishers, British Columbia’s oldest fly fishing club, and is an honourary member of the Loons Fly Fishing Club. Art has served three years as president of the British Columbia Federation of Fly Fishers and stands as their unofficial BC fly fishing historian. Art has additionally served as director of the Steelhead Society of BC for many years. In 1995, he was awarded the BCFFF's Angul Award which is granted to British Columbian fly fishers who show an appreciation for the ancestry of fly fishing heritage and the excellence surrounding its development as both an Art and Science. In 1999 the Federation of Fly Fishers selected Art as the 6th recipient of their prestigious Roderick Haig-Brown Award.

موفق به دیدن یکی از بزرگترین ماهیگیر در رشته فلای فیشینگ شدم فردی به نام Art Lingren با بیش از 40 سال تجربه ماهیگیری .

در این نمایشگاه کتاب های دست نویس و پشه های طراحی شده و ابزار قدیمی و تاریخچه ماهیگیری فلای و داستان ها توسط Art Lingren به نمایش گذاشته شد در موزه معروف ونکوور

نکته جال نمایش پشه های بافته شده توسط این استاد بود ، حتی پشه های که مثلا در بیست سال گذشته بافته شده بودند و حتی پشه های اماتور و ساده که می شده دها ایراد رو از اون پشه ها گرفت و واقعا جالب بود و مجموعه پشه های طراحی شده به نام این فلای کار

تجربه ها و پشه های به نمایش در امده متعلق به امریکا شمالی و السکا و اوریگان و واشینگتون بود ، در این نمایشگاه توسط اسلاید کامپیوتری عکس های از برنامه های کمپینگ و سفر ها و ماهی های صید شده و مکان ها به نمایش در اومد و ماهیگیران خیلی زیادی از سراسر برتیش کلمبیا اومده بودند من تنها ماهیگیری ایرانی اونجا بودم آرت یا همون اقای آرتور از مسیر و تاریخچه ماهیگیریش گفت از دوستانش و بهترین خاطراتش ،الان ایشان خیلی سن زیادی دارند و تمام فعالیت هاش داره به تاریخ می پیونده در زیر گوشه ای از تصاویر این نمایشگاه
